Tonight was the night when Uniqlo held their fashion show ‘From Tokyo To Singapore’ fashion show at Ritz-Carlton Millenia and boy was it a treat. I wished I had taken more snapshots, but honestly I was too busy enjoying the runway show which had at least 30 models showcasing the best from Uniqlo’s S/S10 collections (I will definitely post some of my favourite looks once I get the official press images).
After that we were transported to 313@Somerset in a convoy of coaches, and as we reached the 17,000 sq ft store everyone made a beeline for the Uniqlo +J collection.
Jackets, shirts, jeans, pants, cardigans for both men and women were flying off the racks as if they were free (though the SGD100 voucher Uniqlo presented to all media and VIP guests did help). Best buy? The gorgeous Uniqlo +J Blazer (shown above) that is retailing for only SGD199. The lush Uniqlo + J Velvet Tuxedo Jacket, only SGD149. Really affordable and so so chic, you really can’t go wrong with a couple of +J pieces in your wardrobe.
More updates to come! And in case you’ve forgotten, Uniqlo 313@Somerset officially opens her doors tomorrow at 10 am, so make sure you head on down before all the best pieces from +J sell out.
One more thing before I sign off. Tonight I was using the Burberry Prorsum Stonewashed Carpenter Bag (from the Spring-Summer 2010 Mens Burberry Prorsum runway collection). Love the bag, just praying now it will not cost an arm and a leg when it officially launches next year.

On Wednesday, December 2nd Louis Vuitton will illuminate the special light display at Louis Vuitton CityCenter signifying the opening of the new store at Crystals. Inspired by the vibrant, ever changing nature of the Las Vegas “strip”, the façade comes alive at night with a dazzling light show made by over 4,000 LEDs.
“Louis Vuitton has been present in the United States since 1988 and we are proud to open the 134th store in North America at CityCenter in Las Vegas,” said Daniel Lalonde, President and CEO of Louis Vuitton North America. “The CityCenter store is very special as it reflects the spirit of Las Vegas and the architecture of CityCenter, yet still remains true to the heritage of Louis Vuitton. This will be our first location on Las Vegas Boulevard; the first store in Las Vegas opened in 1988.”
This will be the largest store in North America and the 5th largest location worldwide. The new store will be the 16th global store in North America, carrying all of the Louis Vuitton product categories including an array of leather goods from the traditional and innovative collections of luggage and city bags, ready-to-wear, shoes, watches, jewelry, sunglasses, textiles, and accessories.
On the evening of December 2nd, Daniel Lalonde will first light the facade, which will run for 5 minutes at 11:00 pm, following the private dinner in the store to celebrate the opening. The illuminated facade will begin again at midnight that evening and will run every night from sunset to sunrise. Starting December 3rd, the light show can be viewed on www.louisvuitton.com and on the official Facebook page: The Art of Travel by Louis Vuitton.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolore Rita

The first time I saw this Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolore Rita bag was at the airport, a pretty girl was carrying it. I still remember this scene, very impressive, as I don’t like much of Louis Vuitton’s designs and this is one of the few ones that I really like.
The Monogram Multicolore Rita is very beautiful, showy, and the craftsmanship is definitely LV’s best shot. The only problem I think is the weight, quite heavy, which is why I don’t recommend girls of small figure or low-key personalities to buy.
I don’t remember the exact price of it, a vague impression is something close to RMB 20,000. The price tag is nothing tempting, but the bag does look great, youthful and juicy. I just can’t help falling for it.

A British Cancer Research shop is hoping to raise more than a thousand pounds, after an anonymous donor dropped off a genuine Louis Vuitton handbag.
The generous soul didn’t leave her name with the Bedford High Street store staff, but she did mention there may be something valuable inside her sack of donations. That’s putting it mildly!
“We opened it and it looked very different to the other Louis Vuitton handbags we’ve had in previously that have been counterfeit,” explained Scott Armbruster from Cancer Research UK. “We went to Bond Street eventually and had it valued and they gave it a value of £1,400.”
The charity were originally planning to sell the bag for a little over £900, but struggled to attract a buyer in their small town. Now they plan to turn to eBay in an attempt to find a buyer for the designer bag. It’s not listed yet, but make sure you check back with the Cancer Research UK eBay store if you want to take the purse off their hands!
